ABOUT

Company History

The Austen-Dooley Company began providing group home services in September 2001 with the opening of the Milton Thompson home in Lee’s Summit, MO. Just a few months later, the home on 92nd Terrace was opened. Within five years the Austen-Dooley Company was operating six homes in the Kansas City area and had expanded into the St. Louis area as well.

Today, the Austen-Dooley Company provides services in the Kansas City, St. Louis, and Springfield metropolitan areas. ADC employs over 300 direct support professionals, LPN’s, RN’s, and management team members who support men, women, and children with varying degrees of disabilities and medical needs in group homes and ISL’s. Austen-Dooley’s headquarters are in renovated Victorian homes in downtown Lee’s Summit, MO.

Austen-Dooley is owned and operated by Kelly Dooley Creek and B. Austen Plain, business minded individuals who fight for the rights of the individuals we support, even on a political level. Unique to Austen-Dooley, the owners are involved in daily activities and meet with all residents and their families. The Austen-Dooley Company is dedicated to going above and beyond in support for their residents, providing them with beautiful homes in great neighborhoods, outstanding medical care, transportation, and the encouragement to live a full life.
