This month we are spotlighting Michael E. who works in Kansas City as a DSP. He has been an ADC team member for over 11 years! We appreciate Michael because he is compassionate and reliable. He is task oriented and gets everything done that he needs to, most of the time before it is even asked of him. Michael is great at training and is an integral part of our team.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Austen-Dooley?
A: I appreciate the owners and enjoy the family atmosphere.
Q: What is one piece of advice for others in your profession?
A: Try to leave your personal stuff at home. Have a good attitude, and keep a good rapport with staff and consumers.
Q: Who in your life inspires you and why?
A: First of all, God, and then I would say, my mother, because she always makes sure her kids are happy and have the things that they need.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
A: I like to fish and be involved in sports. I also like to do yard work; I am always wanting to beautify my yard. It’s always nice to look back and see the final product.
Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
A: They probably don’t know that as a child growing up around Higginsville, I was involved in farm life and animals; we had horses. I also really enjoyed playing sports growing up. The competitiveness in me always wants to be the best. Football and track were the most important to me. I had a lot of uncles that were role models in sports. They were good at it, and it motivated me to be better.
