This month we are spotlighting Sylvia F. who works in Springfield as a DSP. She has been an ADC team member for 14 years! We appreciate Sylvia because she is extremely kind-natured and hard working. She always goes above and beyond and has a positive attitude.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Austen-Dooley?
A: I enjoy just taking care of the individuals that we serve, putting a smile on their face, and helping them complete their daily activities. A close second is my coworkers.
Q: What is one piece of advice for others in your profession?
A: You get out of the job however much you put in. If you’re focused and you try to get to know the consumers, it’s a very rewarding position.
Q: Who in your life inspires you and why?
A: My family inspires me to be a better person, to stay active, and to constantly be productive.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
A: I enjoy cooking and baking. I like being outside in nature. I like to watch movies, as long as it’s not late at night, because I’ll fall asleep.
Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
A: I’m not as shy as I come across. Once you get to know me, I’m actually a chatterbox. Most people would think I’m pretty reserved and quiet.
